This rich, flavorful Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup with Ham couldn’t be easier and makes amazing leftovers!
Yield: 8(1 ¼ cups) servings
Ingredients
16ozbag dried green split peas, rinsed and drained
3garlic cloves, minced
1cupchopped onion
1cupchopped celery
1cupchopped peeled carrots
16ozcooked ham, diced
1teaspoonblack pepper
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspoondried thyme
1bay leaf
4cupslower sodium chicken broth
2cupswater
Instructions
Place all ingredients into your slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Remove bay leaf. Soup will thicken a lot upon standing/while cooling.
