Ingredients
1lblean ground chicken or ground turkey(use 92-93% lean)
1tablespoonpaprika
1teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspooncrushed red pepper
¼teaspoonfennel seeds
2 ½cupsBisquick Heart Smart Baking Mix(or original Bisquick baking mix)
⅜cupskim milk(measure as 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon)
1tablespoondried parsley
8ozshredded 2% milk sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add the ground chicken, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, and fennel seeds and stir with a fork or mush together with clean hands until thoroughly combined. Add the Bisquick, milk, parsley, and shredded cheese and stir together with a spoon (or you can use an electric mixer) until well combined.
Divide the meat mixture into 32 even piles and roll each one into a ball (it helps if you spray your palms with cooking spray before rolling). Each ball is roughly two tablespoons if you’d rather do it that way. Place the balls a bit apart on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-24 minutes until cooked through.
