Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp table salt
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350
  • Stir flour (unpacked), baking soda and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter and brown sugar together and medium speed until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beat well. Then add cocoa and egg whites, beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until combined. Stir in mini chocolate chips by hand.
  • Coat baking sheets with cooking spray and then drop 40 rounded teaspoons of dough at least 1-1.5” apart onto the sheets. Bake for 8-9 minutes. Cool on pans for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
