Watermelon Feta Salad
This Watermelon Feta Salad has just 4 ingredients and is the perfect refreshing summer salad! I love a salty-sweet flavor pairing, so the bright, sweet watermelon paired with creamy, salty Feta cheese, fresh basil, and tangy balsamic glaze is such a satisfying combination. This salad is so easy to toss together for lunch, a side dish or a snack and it’s super simple to make more servings for a crowd. Not only is this Watermelon Feta Salad easy to make for yourself, it would be perfect to make in a large quantity for a summer picnic or cookout. Everyone loves fruit and cheese! Watermelon Feta Salad
Ingredients
- 6 oz watermelon, cubed (I prefer it to also be chilled)
- A pinch of salt, optional
- 1 oz Feta cheese, crumbled or cubed
- 1-2 teaspoons thinly sliced fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon balsamic glaze, I used Wegmans brand but Bertolli, Gia Russa, Delallo, Trader Joe’s and many other brands sell pre-made balsamic glaze in a squirt bottle
Instructions
- Sprinkle the watermelon with a pinch of salt, if using. Toss the watermelon, feta and sliced basil together and drizzle with the balsamic glaze. Serve immediately.

After having a watermelon salad at a nice restaurant a few days ago I decided to see if I could find an actual recipe for one. Thank you! Yours is very similar. I haven’t made it yet, but I’ll just comment (in case someone think the add-ons sound good, that the restaurant also added some field greens, red onions, kalamata olives, and pistachios.. They also dressed it in a white balsamic vinaigrette instead of the lime and olive oil.
I tried this but i grilled the watermelon and it tasted sooooo good!
