VOTING CLOSED: Best of 2021 Reader’s Choice Awards!
Hi friends, it’s that time of year again! Yes, the holiday season, but also that time of year when I ask my wonderful readers to vote on your favorite Emily Bites recipes from the past year. This voting is my favorite tradition on my blog because I get so excited tallying it up, reading your comments and discovering which recipes you loved best. I am always nervous that no one will vote this year (even though you always deliver), so every time a set of votes comes in I drop whatever I’m doing to go see which recipes you loved most. I get excited like I’m opening a gift, that’s how much it means to me! Once the votes are in, I always close out the year with a “Best of” post featuring all the winning recipes. Not only does this post help my current readers discover new favorites and recipes they may have missed throughout the year, but as first-time readers discover my site in the new year it directs them toward my most popular recipes so they know where to start!
I hope you were able to make some tasty lightened up comfort food recipes this year! If you don’t see some of your favorites listed below, it’s probably because they were posted in previous years. If you’d like to check out the past winners (many of these are still my most popular recipes…tasty food never goes out of style), check them out here: 2020 Winners, 2019 Winners, 2018 Winners, 2017 Winners, 2016 Winners, 2015 Winners, 2014 Winners, 2013 Winners, 2012 Winners and 2011 Winners.
On Christmas Eve I will have been blogging for ELEVEN years. I simultaneously can’t believe it has been so long and also can barely remember a time when Emily Bites wasn’t part of my life. What started as just a fun hobby transformed throughout the years into my passion project and my dream job. It could never be what it is today without readers like you, cooking along with me, reading my posts and sharing my site with friends. I can’t even express how much it means to me that you’re here, allowing me to do what I love more than anything. THANK YOU. Thank you for cooking my recipes and sharing photos of them on Instagram. Thank you for watching my recipe videos and sharing them on Facebook. Thank you for sharing your stories with me through comments and emails, letting me know that you/your kids/your picky husband loved the recipe and telling me about your weight loss journey success. I appreciate you all so much and I want you to know how much you motivate and inspire me. Your comments, emails, social shares and your continued support means the world to me and always brings a smile to my face. Thank you!
Like I said, I always get nervous no one will vote, so if you are on the fence – please do! I know it takes a few minutes but it’s an awesome thing to do and it means a lot to me. Without further ado, it’s time to ask you to choose your favorite recipes from the past year. I can’t wait to see what you pick!
Here’s how the voting will work: There are 11 categories. To vote, leave a comment below with the numbers 1-11 and next to each number fill in the letter corresponding to your choice for the winner for that category. I realize that not everyone will have made a recipe from every single category, so feel free to vote for whichever recipe looks best to you, or if you’d rather leave some categories blank that works too. There are no firm rules here! Here’s what a sample vote should look like (I chose the letters arbitrarily):
And the nominees are…
1. Best Breakfast Recipe
2. Best Muffin Recipe
3. Best Appetizer Recipe
4. Best Chicken Bites
5. Best Poultry Recipe
6. Best Pasta Recipe
7. Best Sandwich or Handheld Recipe
8. Best Soup Recipe
9. Best Salad Recipe
10. Best Side Dish Recipe
11. Best Dessert Recipe
Thank you so much in advance for casting your vote! You’re the best.
